UX/UI

Initial Thoughts
Distance education was implemented in homes overnight and has been a titanic effort for the entire educational community. Without warning, millions of students were at home, and the whole academic community, including families, had to get involved in a distance education model.
However, is online education working well in the pandemic?

This project explores the idea of using augmented reality as part of the educational system.

Research
In order to understand the challenges in education at this time, we spoke with elementary school students and their parents, and we used observation as a tool to understand the challenges that teachers themselves face. We discovered the need for tools that further motivate and invite students to explore specific topics and facilitate the teachers' jobs.

Users
In addition to talking with students of different levels to discover the effects of distance education on them during the pandemic, we accessed the Geography material for grade 8 students in Ontario. This opportunity allowed us to explore how augmented reality could be implemented in education.

User Flow

Design
Being an augmented reality application, we seek to give the logo a three-dimensional appearance. Since it is focused on nature, we use some flowers as inspiration for colours. The font is easy to read in this type of space.
